I am painting an oak Murphy Bed. Can I apply the grain filler after I prime the wood with zinssers Bulls Eye 1-2-3 water based primer? Does it matter how many coats of primer before I use the water based grain filler?

    This is my plan.
sand the oak with 220 or 320 sandpaper
apply zinssers primer (1 or 2 coats)
    apply grain filler
    apply finish coat(s) of paint
    Will this work?
